La tournée de Taiwan 2013 : Houshanpi

This morning I did not intend have  western breakfast.  Yongchun area where we had already scrutinized, had ran out of new food for us.  So we just walked along Zhongxiao East Road until we reached the Houshanpi MRT station. There we found this shop selling bakchang.

This was the famous siobakchang of Taiwan, it even had a song written on it. This bakchang which we found, was sold in one of the few shops opens in the morning which does not sell western food.   It may not be the best bakchang of  Taipei but the taste, we guessed, must be more or less the same.  One distinct different from our bakchang was that it was white unlike ours which was dark.  Another very weird thing was that, the bakchang was eaten with a kind of sweet sauce with finely grounded peanut, something like what we ate with rojak, Not much ingredients in the bakchang itself... a piece of fat pork and a few peanuts. The bowl of gooey thing beside the bakchang was also the famous Taiwan Owamisua (台湾蚵仔面线).   Hidden underneath de misua were some medium size oysters..deliciouss.. :)
